Wow. Great photos. Happy birthday to your friend and hey... you have robins in winter???!
That field was aswarm with robins. We couldn't figure out what they were eating...maybe the worms came out of hibernation? Bird behavior this year has been werid, so add this to the list.
Love that close-up of the robin on the fence-wire. We have winter robins here -- whole flocks of them. Was listening to our local bird guy who says that the feeding of birds by people has caused just as many changes in bird behavior & adaptation as climate change. Interesting creatures!
