Some of the windows of Belgium

I visited my friend Francoise back in 2003 and was fascinated by the doors, windows, gates, and statuary of the centuries old countryside.  Our recent Triptych blog had the topic of Windows and I was inspired to put together a collection of some of my favorites from my trip!

oh, these are wonderful! how come we haven't seen these before???? as i was looking through i kept spotting what i thought was my favorite, until i saw the next one. that little green door and tiny window and vine are possibly my favorite -- or the archway with the hanging vines. i want to go to europe! thanks for sharing, sister. xoxo

very cool sara! lucy, i, too, love the little door/window, but i think i'd best like to live on the top floor with the round window in the narrow house.
i can't help think that the past architects were marvelous, since they didn't have the kinds of materials we have now. Arches!!!

Sara, your photo's are absolutely stunning! My two favorites are the brick building with the flower boxes and the inside of the cathedral with the view of the arches. You are quite gifted at photography!
