Wednesday in Newport with Lucy and Karl and Yaya

Lucy and Karl met up with up with us at 11-ish (Ruth spent the morning and lunch with her grandmother).  We had planned to walk the Cliff Walk, but it was raining, so we decided to go over to Marble House  along the Avenue.  Some of my pictures aren't that great because we weren't really supposed to take them, so I had to use "natural light" and sneak shots with no tripod.  The house was ostentatious and grand, but Grant and I decided we really liked the kitchen best!

Ben treated us all to Becky's BBQ for lunch...yum yum!!!  We then took a drive down to Purgatory Chasm.  We wanted to also walk 2nd Beach but it started raining pretty hard, so we skiipped it and instead went down to Bannister's Wharf for a little while, and then Lucy had to go home.  Karl went off with a friend for dinner....he will spend the night with the "batchelors" over at Ben's house, while Annie and her ladies are staying at the same hotel we are so as to be able to get ready and walk across the street to the wedding venue tomorrow morning.

We also had dinner with Annie's mom Cathy (Yaya), her uncle, her brother-in-law and his son, the the girls GG & Zoey.  Yaya collects giraffes, so I had to include a few of her collection.  She served a wonderful Greek meal....I could live with her.!  Back to the hotel around 9 and early bed tonight since I want to wake up early tomorrow and go take pictures of the ladies getting all gussied up for the festivities.
